Sequential Ignition question on an "MSPNP1.5"

Hey guys,

I'm installing an MS2 daughterboard on an MSPNP1 to make an "MSPNP1.5". I'm going to mod the MS2 DB so that I can bring PT6 and PT7 directly to JP2.38 and 36 (JS0 and JS2 on the v3.57 board). Then I'm going to wire the signals to a DIYPNP sequential ignition module and bring out INJ-3 and INJ-4 out to the MSPNP daughterboard.

The question I have is about the wiring. I plan on wiring it up as follows:
INJ-1 -> 2U -> Fuel Injector #1
INJ-2 -> 2V -> Fuel Injector #3
INJ-3 -> 2Y -> Fuel Injector #4
INJ-4 -> 2Z -> Fuel Injector #2

Is this correct?

you know you have to add extra fuel drivers right?

Aren't those part of the DIYPNP Sequential Ignition kit? (DP_SEQMOD-K)

You will have to buy two of these kits. You can't mix and match different drivers.

Did not know that. Thanks for the info.

What about the wiring table above? Assuming I get two driver kits, is the wiring correct?

the parts you need to do seq. injection costs about $2 for all four, fwiw. i wouldn't buy the diypnp module for a v3.57 board install.

you need (4) vnd5n07 drivers, (4) 1K resistors, and (4) 100K resistors. that's it.

you dont have any wires on 2y and 2z, so that idea is void. you'll have to run the two extra wires out to the engine bay, and rewire the harness so that you wire the outputs correctly to each cylinder.

Also, care to enlighten me why? Aren't the drivers just sinking current? Do different drivers affect the timing of the PWM signal or something?

Yeah the circuit looks pretty basic. I'll see if I can get some free samples from some of my distributor contacts. Worst case, I'll give Digikey a ring. Do you know if Radio Shack has the vnd5n07s?

Yeah, the assumption is that I'll run extra wires from the harness to the injectors. But is the table correct if I wire it all up that way?

Yes 1342.

Yes, but different drivers have different on-state resistance for example. So one driver could actually flow less current than another driver, or take more/less time to open/close the injector.

Oh ok. That makes sense. Thanks.
