In this ongoing saga I have discovered what I finally think is my problem. After another person asked for my tune to get him started on a similar setup we how much different our triggle angles were. His is set at 10 and mine is 74. His would not start and acted in a similar way to how mine does when he set his trigger angle the same as mine. I know in all my noobness that I never set my base timing/trigger angle up like I just read in the megamanual yesterday at all and just went off somone elses settings, and when I think back I started to get the very hard starting issue after I moved
my distributor and I have also changed my cam timing as well. I havent
tried it yet but I am pretty sure this is my problem.

Second thing is I pulled my plugs to check their condition and found all of them are a nice grey to white color except number 2 which was black, wet, and full of carbon. I cleaned it up and replaced it, let the engine warm up and revved the engine 2 times from idle to redline and shut it down. Checked them again and all look the same except number 2 which was all wet again. Obviously I have a leaky injector.

I would rather upgrade then send these old GTX injectors off to be cleaned. Should I get a set of the DW in 360cc or go for the ID 750cc? Keep in mind this engine will be staying N/A. From some of the threads I have found on here, the ID injectors will idle better and have more precision then the DW even though the ID are way bigger then I will ever need. Opinions?

EVERY TRIG ANGLE IS DIFFERENT. Look up how to set your base timing and restart. I didnt even read all your post but you shouldnt be touching your miata if you cant set the base timing and I think you mean CAS not distributer.

Or you could buy the 330 injectors I have up for sale...

I suppose I should clarify. I do know how to set base timing. Thats why I moved the distributor was to set it at base timing but I didnt follow the directions correctly, in addition to changing my cam timing on my adjustable cam gears. I have been running the car on the stock computer anyway unless I am testing settings on the MS and being N/A I highly doubt it would blow up. It is a distributor and not a CAS because its in an Escort not a Miata.

Oh snap my bad forgot it was an Escort in that case I dont know shit about what your dealing with. Usually on a miata you can set the timing in MS without adjusting the CAS and regardless the car all trig angles are different.

you should be able to go into tuner studio and set the timing to fixed @ 10deg and then match that on your crank by adding or decreasing angle. Then once your crank pully timing marks are at 10 degrees you can go back to MS and change the settings back to read from your ign map. Super Easy on a miata but I never messed with an Escort

Yeah it is the same method with the distributor setup. My understanding is its basically a CAS with a cap and rotor and its 4-1 instead of 4-2. The first time I did not do the fixed angle in tunerstudio, I just left it reading the spark map and adjusted the disty till I got 10 on the timing cover mark. I didnt read the manual very good before and just skimmed through it and I think this is the source of most all of my drivability problems as well as the no start it has now.

sixshooter, I saw your thread a while ago when you first posted them for sale, but I dont remember the details of them.

I was looking at the FIC injectors and apparently they are the same thing as the ID injectors but closer to the sizes I need. Both are EV14?

I bumped them to make them easier to find. I'm reasonable on the price but willing to be downright generous.
