Spark Mod confusion
I was going to follow Kags1969's spark mods for the v3 board, but the new miata instructions on DIYautotune show a different routing of the jumper wires on both ends of the board, and the addition of two resistors. I didn't see any other mention of this new routing here on the forum...
Is the new DIYautotune routing scheme better? Has anyone tried it on their miata? Thanks! |
When I did my spark mods, I didn't include the 1K resistors and my spark has been running just fine every day since early Feb.

Yes but in the event of a short you have nothing protecting your cpu. I don't know if the DIY's works on the 90-93 cars. It didn't work on mine when I first started with my 91. Pretty much before anyone had done spark with a megasquirt on a miata.
Now I just pull the resitor and attach the 330ohm directly to the wire and put it in the top hole. |

Thanks. I'm looking forward to getting this running on spark :bigtu: |
In series with the wire, yes.
Just make sure when everything is done D14 -> H1 D16 -> G1 |
