Stock 1.6 high idle
Been messing around with settings for hours until I had to call it quits for the day. Idle would be between 14-1600. Eventually adjusted the idle screw but still at 1100. Just installed mspnp2 today, car used to idle at 800. Ask for any settings and I’ll post them.

turn off all adaptive/closed loop/ac compensation idle items in MS. turn off ac, lights, fan, etc.
loosen your throttle body cable so it is super slacky and definitely not pulling on the blade. drive your car around for 15+ minutes to get it up to operating temp, like full hot. set your idle screw to 850 RPM. retighten your throttle body cable, I do it as much as possible without raising the idle, you will need a little slack in it. go back and reenable the idle stuff in MS and set it up so it idles like you want. last turn on your ac and work on the ac control in MS to get it to catch and idle like you want. |

Throttle cable has lots of slack and idle screw is also maxed out
did you already turn off all the adaptive idle / spark idle / AC Idle stuff in MS? easily can be compensating for poor hardware setup. of course this is assuming you don't have a vacuum leak. turn off all the idle adapts, set the screw to the right place, then set the computer up. |
