no clt gauge...
So I got my megasquirt + irtbs + COPs running, and I'm really excited about it. The downside is, it's still running like hell and won't idle. But it's a big project, things like this are to be expected I suppose. My only 'physical' issue with my setup right now is my CLT gauge isn't working. I have a 97 miata, and I'm running a MS1 V3 that I built. The CLT works absolutely fine on the stim. I've got it wired up the way braineack's thread said to wire it. It's not just reading incorrectly, it's not reading at all. it's at -40F all the time.
Help!
I'm suspicious that it's wired up to the wrong wire on my stock wiring harness, because I've already encountered one difference with my harness and braineack's diagram in his assembly thread. My fuel pump was way off, not even on the same plug. I just can't figure out what wire is my CLT on my wiring harness for sure.
Not to say braineack's thread isn't an epic pillar of life-saving facts, because it is. 95% of my setup works right now, and it's mostly thanks to that post. I just need to get my CLT gauge working!
Could that be why my car is running so rough? I mean, I haven't set the base timing yet, but doesn't the CLT control your fuel mixture? I'm running stupidly rich right now.
Thanks!
Edit: yes, i used easytherm. I'm also running MS/extra 029y4 software if that matters. But easytherm just sets it if it's reading wrong anyway right? Mine's not reading at all.

On a '97, the CLT sensor is a blue / white wire at 3G.
Here's a thought, though. The CLT goes to ground through the ECU. It's a black / blue wire at 3O. Same wire also grounds TPS, the O2 sensors, and the EGR sensors.
Tie the black / blue wire at 3O to ground, see if that fixes anything.

update for joe having the ultimate solution:
spliced that wire to ground, now all sensors work. Now I'm finally running lean! Stock tune on itbs will do that :P That's my next obstacle now.
