Default IAC, PWM, idle thingy verification

I am having some difficulty with understanding this despite a fair bit of searching.

Q1 2 Pictures- are these just two ways to do the same thing?
Q2 I assume my idle valve is a two wire thing on my intake manifold?
Q3 Is it a necessity for a standalone install?

These are probably real dumbass questions but I just have to make sure!!!

yes, but in your case, follow the directions in the blue box. DO install one of your spare 1N4001 diodes on the middle leg to S19.

Q2 I assume my idle valve is a two wire thing on my intake manifold?
Two wire thing that's attached below your Throttle Body. There should be no extra wiring necessary to utilize the idle control function. You'd run FIDLE out to the ECU harness.

Q3 Is it a necessity for a standalone install?
yes.

Is the 1N4001 to S19 instead of, or in addition to, the 1N4001 included with the mod kit that is supposed to be run across the idle valve itself (the included flyback diode)?

That'd be S12, which is Sanctioned 12V, before the reverse protection diode D10.

There is no S19. miatamoxie is still getting used to this fancy new QWERTY layout.

blah blah blah.

I had .s19 files on the brain. Picture and diagrams clearly show S12.

I'm used to reading directions, even if unbeknownst to me, they are wrong. Didn't really matter anyway, I already hacked up my IAC wiring at the valve so for me it was moot. Brain's help in other areas more than makes up for this horrendous gaff....but what a jerkass, I mean really! Jeez!
