Switch Controlled Rev Limit
For an endurance racing application I would like to keep our rev limit around 6800, however the engine can spin to 7100 + and make more power at the wheels at the expense of potential valve float for short durations.
I want to add a switch that changes the rev limit from 6800 to 7100. I think the only way I could do this is by setting the base limit to 7100 then turning on launch control at 6800, wiring the FLEX line to a switch. Is there a better way? Has anyone driven heavily with launch control always on? Does the ECU do anything else in launch control mode beyond the settings in that menu? I have an MS2PNP for 9093 on a 99 JDM motor with 99 TPS, sequencial injection, VICS. |
It does indeed look like that will work. I have an MS3, and took a totally different approach. I also plan to use launch control (it is active).
Again, I looked at MS2 launch control and that seems a workable approach. Set the TPS very low. |
