Takes forever to turn over, sometimes won't start.

After sitting this winter, my Miata has a hard time turning over and starting. The battery is new and the alternator tests fine. I can't seem to figure out why it's slow to turn over. It sounds like a dying battery, but the voltage checks out good.

Where in Tuner Studio can I check/adjust the settings? Anyone have a screenshot of recommended settings? I replaced the battery this spring with a smaller one than the one that was in last year.

Don't bother telling us which MS you have or the cranking Amps on the new smaller battery... or posting a datalog of the problem.

MS3x with 330 cranking amps.

I'll see if I can get a datalog tomorrow.

Compare your settings with the diy base map. Make sure the cranking rpm is set to at least 300 to prevent the MS from entering ASE too early.

May need to get the battery load tested

Yep. Load test the battery. Miata batteries seem to have short lives.

Also, inspect the condition of your battery cables. They're not very big, but they are long (bad combo).
