Default Can I use 99-00 diy base timing map for a 01-05 vvt engine

Ok so I have been searching for a timing map that is pretty conservative for my swapped in 04 engine. What do you guys think of just using the 99-00 base timing map diy provides for the diypnp 99-00. Would it be safe?
Any one have a safe map they could post.
Thanks
Brian

Start with this on 93-octane.

If the car is ready, I might be able to get your car on the dyno this weekend for a small contribution to my swap-fund.

MAP is pressure, this is a table.

I'd love to come help you today, but I'm so tired from swapping engines in a one-car garage; I'm sure you understand. I have a small water leak somewhere that I have to chase today.

OK i must be slow in the head. I cant get the base 99-00 map to download off diy's site and hustler your map looks more agressive than the one I run on the 9.5-1 1.6. Can some one please post a picture of there map and I will just fill in the blanks in my map.
or please post a msq with a conservative 99-05 timing map. I just want something i can take 3 degrees out of and know I will not have knock till I get detcan/knocklite hooked up.
Please help she is almost back together and I will be starting her for the first time this afternoon.
HELP.

If you want to take out more spark do it. I run that spark table on 91-octane in a 99 engine, +3 degrees up top. That spark table is probably fine.

Cool thank hustler. On the left side the pressure/map side your only goes to 100 or atmospher.
Is this a NA map?
I have a 2560. How do I adapt it to 10-12psi?

Also some one with 01-05 vvt engine and a turbo please please please post up a map or just the base map from diy or begi. I cant get them to down load or find them. This thing is about ready to be started (still got to but the radiator in and wire VVT tunner but other than that shes ready) and I dont have a conservative timing map to use.

Well she runs. Its a little rans its rought and back fire on decel. Its pretty load.
the aem wide band is not synced with the tunerstudio. It reads .2 to .4 to high.
It ran with out any miss at all with out the intercooler piping hooked up but now with 1.TB it is running a little rough and really rich the autotune just cant get it back in line

Good to know you did it!

I hope I'll be able to make mine start this week end :-)

Can you show me what map you used for spark and what injector are you running on this Z3?
