Testing MS diypnp to see if it is sending signal to ingiter

I want to use a multi meter to see if you DIYPNP is telling my ingitor/coils to spark.

I found this by Joe Perez:
Testing the igniter is somewhat more involved, and requires an oscilloscope if you really want to do it right. If you have access to a good analog voltmeter, you can unplug the igniter and then check, at the lowest range, for voltage between the brown wire and the black wire, and between the brown/yellow wire and the black wire, while cranking. The ECU will be putting out brief (6ms) pulses of +5v, which should cause the meter to twitch a bit. Some meters will show nothing, so this isn't a perfectly reliable test.

I dont have analog multimeter?
Is there a way to test in the diypnp?

A led with a 510R resistor, connected to each spark output of the MS on one end, and grounded on the other. Activate test mode, and send pulses of 25ms (set dwell to 25ms for the test) every 100ms. The led should be blinking.

I dont have rpm more. I have switched back and forth cas's but now none show rpm while cranking.

ok looking at the inside of diypnp what is spark output labeled on the board?

You don't need to do it on the ECU - unplug the igniter and connect the led on the harness connector that goes to the igniter. Connect the positive side of the LED to the brown/yellow wire and the negative side to the black wire (remember to include the resistor in series if the LED is not of the "automotive" type). This is spark output A. Then do the same with the brown wire, which is spark output B.

Ok I will report back. Radio shack is sure to have all of this I assume.

No light. I did it on the bench between ground 4b and 1g or 1h no light. I used a 560resistor thou. Works fine with 4b to 1b which is 12+ 1b and 12- 4b
So I am getting power. I am not sure I am using the test mode correctly thou. Just changed coil output to test to coil a, change dwell to 25 test mode coils, hit burn and check both 1g and 1h to ground 4b

also in cheching resistors I found my d2 diode is going both ways where as the others only go one direction 10ohm but the one in d2 goes 10 one way and 3.5 the other.

To use the test mode:

1) FIRST OF ALL, enter 12345 in the box and hit burn. If you don't do this first, you need to reset the power to the ECU before trying again
2) After that, select "Coils", then "Coil A", then dwell 25.

Let me know when you get this shit fixed and I'll help out then.

followed exactly no light.
what now.

I can trace power to the white board on the long connection strip but the shorter10 port plug only has 12+ no ground.
What should I do to check.

I have light and spark now I need for it to run right.
It starts but will not rev past 3k. I heard something under the dash clicking it was thde denso 056700-6381 yellow and black relay. I think it is the fuel relay but the thing is its not fuel but rpm that is going to 0 on TS. So basicly start then rev and at 3200 rpm the TS suddenly shows 0 rpm so I think cas. So I check wiring and try again same thing but then I hold the key to start posision and it revs I dont do this long prob not good for starter.
The denso relay is making noise but I wonder if its just the ignition key turning the relay on and off.

Does any one know whay this relay does?

thats your fuel pump relay, when the RPM goes to zero from sync-loss the MS turns off the pump and turns it back on again when the RPM signal comes back.
