Default Fuel Pump wiring 1600 Eunos 1990

Hi, can someone check out my way of wiring the Eunos 1990 1600 fuel pump to my MS1 V3 Ex, what I do is jumper the 2 outer wires on the MAF sensor then I can connect the MS pin 37 to the R/G 2P pin on the 26 pin OE plug ( which is labeled orange AIT ) and all seems to work fine, to me it just seems a lot better/easier than running a wire across to yellow connector and removing the fuse etc ?? or am I missing something, Regards DM.

Why would you remove your AIT input to run the fuel pump? Now you gotta do something else special for your AIT. This is stupid.

Why would you have to remove a fuse if you're running pin 37 directly to the fuel pump relay?

or am I missing something, Regards DM.
Why wouldn't you do the smart thing and run pin 37 to 2O? That's an unused wire on the AFM connector that you can jump your fuel pump relay with AND still use your ait.

What is the AIT ? I assumed it was "Air Intake Temp" but as I have my Mannifold Air Temp sensor connected to the 3rd and 4th pin of my MAF plug and it is working fine ??.

That is what it says in the DIYautotune fitting instructions that I was following ?.so they must be well out of date ??.

Which pin is 20 as my wiring diagram is alphabetical ?? Regards DM/////////////////////

sorry i came across so harsh.

yes AIT or MAT, same thing. It sounds like you wired your Fuel Pump to pin 2P which is the factory AIT/MAT input and then the MAT to pin 2O which is an unused wire. Just a little backwards, but it works; this is how I do the fuel pump on all 90-93 setups I build.

That is what it says in the DIYautotune fitting instructions that I was following ?.so they must be well out of date ??.
They have you only remove the fuse, no other additional wiring is needed. If you wire directly to the fuel pump relay, then you don't need to remove the fuse.

Which pin is 20 as my wiring diagram is alphabetical ??
I said 2O (OH). But it sounds like you used that for your MAT and 2P for your Fuel Pump (which in 99.9% percent of harnesses, you being the 0.1%, would be for the MAT instead).

No Problem, I am used to it, as I have only spent the last 35 years working on old Ferrari's so really not up to speed yet with Electronics ?? but I am learning,Thanks to you and the Forums.

I have my MAT wired to 2K LG/R and that seems to be working fine in TS ??

I get it not 20 2o ?? silly me ?? so can you spell it all out for me if you connect pin 37 on ms db37 to 2o where dose that wire go to ? is it direct to the FP relay or through the MAF plug 1 and 7 (which I jumper ) like I done

I wanted to update this thread to highlight an error in the above picture in regards to my '92 1.6L MAF connector. The above picture does not correctly close the loop for the fuel pump.

Attached is the correct pin-out of the MAF sensor, and remember you're looking at the MAF itself, so pin 1 is on the right. On the MAF itself, pins 3 and 5 are ground. That said, pins 3, 5, and 6 are all ground on the harness-side of the MAF connector. As such, the IAT sensor needs to be on pin 1 and one of the grounds [pin 3 is easy], and then the fuel pump trigger, being on pin 7, needs a jumper to a ground [like pin 6].

This is what I had to do to get my MSPNP gen1 converted from stock MAF to MAP+IAT.
