TPS calibration problems
Hello so i am having a hard time calibrating my tps on my nb2 swapped 1991 na. The car has a 91 auto harness and im using a throttle body from a 99. I put a new tps sensor in yesterday thinking it would fix it but i was wrong i have wiring diagrams from a 1991 auto and the 99 diagram. I am almost 100% sure it is wired correctly i have the light green n red to light green n red, i have the green black to the red black, and i have the black red to the black light green. When i go to calibrate it on the ms it reads 56 closed and when i open the throttle nothing changes so 56 again. Am i missing something here or have it wired wrong?? Im at a loss i have been searching this problem for about a month since i got the ecu. The car starts and idles fine but thats all it can do because the ecu see no throttle change. PLEASE HELP!! thank you

So this means i have one wire from my harness not used which is the solid red wire. This wire has 5v while every other wire has nothing is that a problem?

No VREF, no signal.

just tryed that and it didnt work
mint/white black/green mint/red Just verified and the computer has signal. You'll know when you get it right because the fuel pump will prime as well. |

Shit, sorry, I've been jacking with this problem, forgot that a belt shredded that wiring. I just went outside to verify and when plugged-in the 1.6 wires from top to bottom should be:
mint/white black/green mint/red Just verified and the computer has signal. You'll know when you get it right because the fuel pump will prime as well. See i dont have a mint white because it is a auto harness which orginally used 4 wires. The fuel pump primes no matter on my car even with no signal the colors i have are Red/black red Mint/red Black/green |
Bump any input is greatly apprichated could it be a problem with the ecu?

The wiper on the AT '91 goes to pin 2M. AFAIK most traditional MS configurations use 2L (MT configuration)
edit: there are other differences as well. As Matt mentioned, at least one of the connected wires should have ~5V KOEO, another should measure ~0 ohms to ground. |

Well, if he configured it for a MT, and the AT pins are not connected, you can fly wire the pins inside the case.
if you bought it from him, I would contact him for his advice. |

Connect red (1N) to lt grn/red
connect blk/red to blk lt grn connect red-blk to grn blk move pin in ecu harness from 2m to 2L, or solder a wire between 2M and 2L inside the box. proceed at your own risk... |
You could tenporarily short 1n to 2L, confirm that the tps reading in TS rails
|
Do you have a diagram of the connector pins i should be looking at? Never delt with this kinda stuff
