tps wiring

Hi, I've just looked at the wiring harness diagrams on here (for standalone) for the 90-93 cars and the 94-95 cars.

On the 90-93 5vref is connected to the red wire 1N and tps input is LG/W 2L

On the 94-95 5vref is connected to LG/W 2K and tps input is R/B 2N

As you can see the LG/W does a different job on both schematics?

My question is if i'm wiring a 1.8 motor with the 1.8 tps from a 1994 car into a 1991 car which diagram do i follow. I have the 1994 pig tail for the tps and i know not to use the red wire on it at all.

Anyone care to enlighten me?

With a standalone, you have some flexability. I'm going to assume that you're splicing the '94 TPS connector into your '91 harness, and that the wiring is sufficiently similar between RHD and US-spec LHD cars for this to work. :D

Connect the Vref wire of the MS (pin 26) to the green/white wire of the car's ECU harness at position 2L. Connect the TPS in wire of the MS (pin 22) to the Red wire of the car's harness at position 1N.

At the TPS itself, splice the red wire on the car side to the red/black wire of the TPS pigtail. Splice the green/white wire on the car side to the green/red wire of the TPS pigtail. Splice the two black/green wires together.

Done.
