Default HELP ASAP! MS2 DIYPNP installed and car cranks but does not start up

Finished my t3 kit the other day. Tackled the MS install last night, it is communicating with my laptop just fine.

Right now, I am just trying to get the car to idle and cruise. ( I need to drive it Baltimore today to get to my hotel for the Import Alliance meet tomorrow)
Yes, I fail for waiting last minute, but hey, this setup will be legit.

Stock injectors still in car, (I have for 460's but that can wait: I just want to idle and set timing so i can drive the dang car)

Car primes fuel pump, cranks, air to fuel are lean to rich for a second. No clue what I can try, waiting on braineack to message me, as we are diagnosing the problem. It's also my fault because I told him I was running the 460's so the loaded map wasn't working with the stock injectors. I cannot find "req_fuel" to save my life. MS newb here all day.

everything is hooked up properly.

Thanks for any input.

You led me to believe you had the 460s in. Change the req_fuel value from 6.2 to 12.4.

I'll edit origianal post. I was by no means saying it was your work. I don't even know how to get to the "req_fuel" I scanned all of MS last night and this morning looking for it. Some leads to this will be awesome, google didn't do it for me.

I can't wait to see this car in action

wait what??

yeah i know its in engine constants

what i am saying is after punching those numbers in the calculator on tunerstudio for required fuel on the stock injectors i got 11.2

those numbers i put up are the numbers i put into the calculator

i see you reccomended 12.4 for the required fuel.

edit: oh wait my bad

I don't believe so. Almost positive I don't at all.

I've googled for a bit and see that it has something to do with the CAS.
Can't figure out a way to to test this as I am electronically inclined. But I have a friend 20 minutes away that knows his ****. I'm just hoping I can change some settings and get the car started.

Pretty critical to know for sure. You're not watching your laptop and recording datalogs?

Only have a jump box (not to charge, and it also is losing charge every attempt I make at starting) for my battery which died on me yesterday morning. I do monitor TS when cranking and I know the rpm does not work. I checked just a bit ago when I altered the req_fuel. Like I said, no spark at all and I know this is holding me back from the "fun" stuff.

I can't datalog as I did not buy the $50 crap off of the site. I'm wondering if it is worth it; the ve analalyze live "autotune" and datalog part of it. Insight on that would be cool, although I'm pretty sure I can handle air to fuels on my own.

How do I get the RPM to be sync with TunerStudio??
That's where I'm at right now, one thing at time.

edit: Got megalog viewer, I don't know where I saw it for $30, but I have it now, downloaded for free. Would my battery dying kill off spark/ rpm not reading though?

I thought megalog viewer came with tunerstudio? record a log and look at your battery voltage. IF your battery is dying, then your injector pw can be affected.

I'm a noob at this standalone deal. But i've tuned cars with afc's and the like in my past. I just want to be "RUNNING" and I should be cake after that. Megalog viewer was free.

and I've heard good and bad things about ve analyze, but I may purchase it if Tunerstudio defeats me.

Props to you on fine tuning already though

No rpm -> the MS don't see the engine turning over -> No spark -> No start.

Concentrate on the signals from Cam and Crank sensors (or just the CAS if you are running sloppy old-school).

It can be as easy as a sensor you forgot to connect.

yeah I was relieved to pull the plugs out and see no spark when I did. (not "relieved" but glad to know what the problem was)

I sent the MS back to Brain for a lookover. There's really to plug this bad boy in wrong. 3 harness clips to the ecu, wideband connected, and a vacuum line. Hoping to be "fine tuning" friday night if not saturday. My car didn't get to make import alliance, and now looks like I won't make H2O either :( but life will go on.
