Unplug Ignitors
 

I can't figure out how to get my ignitors unplugged. The plugs are awful to get to and they're tough to get off, and the combination is making this difficult. Is it ok to just disconnect the two ignitor wires from megasquirt? Will that serve the same purpose, or do I have to get the ignitors unplugged under the hood?

that should do the same thing. your ignitors will still get power, but they won't get a trigger, so you should be ok.

That you say "ignitors" instead of "ignitor" tells me you're probably trying to unplug the wrong thing. Unplugging the stock ignitor is painfully easy.

On the 94 I have found the easiest way to unplug the ignitor are the 2 plugs on top of it. You simply get a flat head screw driver. Put it under the wires, reach around back and press the little clip button. Then push down on the screwdriver. That will work for both connectors. I can do it in mear seconds now on my 94.
