Using '99 Stock Air Temp Sensor and Coolant Temp Sensor

Has anybody done this for the '99 yet? Or know if the '01-04 values work for the '99-'00?

I should be getting my Megasquirt soon. So, I'm boning up.

They should work. The sensors are basically the same. You'll want to use a GM IAT for a force induction setup anyway though and you need to wire it in leaving the stock sensor in the circuit otherwise your alternator won't charge the battery for some reason.
As for the CLT, i don't know if easytherm worked when I did it but i'll be redoing it this week sometime. I plan to use the stock RX7 values though if they still don't read right i'll return to trying reverant's settings or i'll pull my sensor and test the values.

Thanks! I've ordered the Megasquirt, LC-1, 94-97 CAS, and a patch harness. Now, I'll have to find this GM IAT. Is this commonly available at NAPA or other auto stores? Looking at Megamanual it looks the appropriate IAT is GM #25036751. I'll see where I can find it.

Get the IAT and pigtail, DIYautotune sells them or any GM dealer. Hell you could even use a junkyard one if you were desperate cause any turbo GM will have one. Such as a GM turbo diesel.
You'll also want a bung to weld to you piping unless you have a think enough spot in your FFS to mount it such as the intake manifold.
There have been problems with vibration killing these sensors though. Vibrations from being mounted in things like the intake manifold seem to hurt the thermistor wires or something.

Got it on order. Thanks!

Where you gonna put it?

You know that's a good f'n question. My problem is that I'm probably going to add water injection as well. So, putting the IAT in the manifold is dicey. With eCool in the current set-up, it's probably dicey anyway. I'm in the planning stages to add Laminova cores to the manifold. If I can get three cores in there (unlikely), then I'll not need the WI. If I can only get two cores in (very likely), I'll need WI to turn up the boost.

At the moment, I'm thinking of putting the IAT just past where the Laminova cores will be. That means with WI, it'll probably still get wet but not as bad as it would now with eCool.

The current IAT is in the nose of the air filter element. So, it's reading ambient temps.

Any ideas?

I know nothing about coldside setups. You need to talk to FFS or m.net for that one.
