sounds like 2 cylinders
Hi,
I have a used diypnp that i bought off this forum 2 years ago and I have finally gotten around to installing it.
When I try to start a new project in tuner studio, it recognizes the firmware but does not support it. "MS2/Extra Alpha 3.2.0 gslender V1"
I do not have any of the files on my computer and it seems that this firmware is very outdated, so I would like to install ms/extra 3.3.2.
With the ecu plugged into the car, I try to run ms2 loader it says "no valid ports or ecu's found." I bought a new serial cable and have the correct drivers because i thought that might be the issue. It is "COM1" with 115200 baud rate. Tuner studio is closed. I don't know what other issues it could have.
When I do the serial test in mini terminal, I type S and it sends back the firmware. Tuner studio recognizes the ecu.
Am I doing anything wrong, any Ideas?

Using the boot jumper worked. So now the ecu has the 3.3.2 firmware.
I have downloaded and opened the v3.3.1 94-95 sequential base map from diypnp website. Adjusted my injector sizing, WB02, CLT, IAT, and TPS values. All of which are reading fine.
However there is no rpm signal. Which im not where to start looking.
The car is a 94.

Here are some documents to see where I am at.
Screen shot of ign and tach
Composite Log
Setup sheet of kit
The car ran fine earlier today on the stock ecu.
And I know this unit came out of a running car so i think its in the settings

Thanks, that was the problem!
I was able to get the car started using diypnp's MS2E v3.3.1a MSPNP2-MM9495 base map. However, it ran very poorly and would only stay running with use of the throttle pedal.
I adjusted from the base tune the CLT, TPS, IAT, and WB02 to my car. Adjusted the ign timing using trigger wizard. And adjusted my INJ size because I have red nb injectors.
The car is a 94, my ecu is setup for sequential injection. I have read that 94s are sequential injection from the factory, but im not sure if that is false.
Also I have deleted the maf, I am using megasquirt's built in map, and a gm iat. Do I need to change anything on these base maps for maf delete besides changing the IAT setting?
Thanks again

It is wired for sequential and I have tried a seq tune. I also tried a batch tune with the same result. I have 12v at each injector. I'm going to try the timing light again and hope that my buddy is really bad at using one (I was in the car)

I got it running. Unplugged sequential driver and plugged it back in, reflashed firmware and started a new tune. The issue was my sequential settings wouldn't let me choose "additional drivers" instead of "standard drivers."
Now I just need to get the fan working and start tuning
