Well you bastards had better be right about this....

Because I just opted for the MSPNP with a BEGi-S1.

And I had just paid off the credit card last week! lol.

Now I'm going to go hunt for some RX7 460's. :)

Splitime 03-18-2008 04:54 PM

Get rx7 560s...

MX5-4me 03-18-2008 04:57 PM

They are right as long as your expectations are in line.

If you expect to get everything in a box all at once and for everthing to work the first time without modification then you might be expecting too much.

is this going on your daily driver?

Trent 03-18-2008 04:58 PM

No, not my daily driver.

If anything, I'm going into this as the pessimist, so I believe my expectations are realistic. I also don't want y'all to think I am expecting to be spoonfed. Hardly the case. :)

You know what Trent; I'm willing to bet you're going to be fine. You just chose 2 of the best Miata vendors in the market and I read FoundSoul's post in another thread offering his support. If someone as clueless as me can be happy with a boosted Miata, anyone can!

BTW, which turbo did you pick? FWIW, I don't know anything about the subject :giggle: but I would suggest 550cc high impedance injectors.

Keep us informed.

Trent 03-18-2008 06:00 PM

The injectors depend on what comes up first. I have WTB threads on rx7club for both.

Oh, and I opted for the GT2560 to give me some room to grow.

Go big or go home. :) I didn't want to wish I had opted for the bigger turbo down the road.

UrbanSoot 03-18-2008 06:23 PM

welcome to the club i guess :)

Rafa 03-18-2008 06:28 PM

One quick question Trent: how happy are you with the Tein/FCM bumpstops combo?

Thanks

Trent 03-18-2008 06:44 PM

The FCM's are great. But if I had it all to do over again, I would have chosen a more aggressive spring than the Tein's. They are quite a bit too soft.

However, the ride quality is great with the Tokico's on a medium setting, and the Tein's do lower the car quite a bit.

kotomile 03-18-2008 06:52 PM

Congrats on the purchase! If I had it to do again that's the route I would've taken.

I have an FCM/Ground Control/Bilstein combo, and I like. The FCM mounts and stops make a big difference.

damn it. wish i could return the favor and sell you my 460's after I install the 550s I bought from you but I already sold em to a friend.

Trent 03-18-2008 11:53 PM

Tell your friend he should really think about upgrading to 550's. lol.

Haha. Seriously though, no worries man. ;)

paul 03-20-2008 12:37 AM

i might have those 460s for you after all. i'll let you know. the price is gonna be $60. they need to be serviced/cleaned, the pintle caps are missing

Trent 03-20-2008 12:42 AM

I've got a lead on a set locally. I'll know by this weekend. If that falls through, i'll definitely let you know.
