What to do with Idle Control Valve?

I know that you need to keep it plumbed in with an AFM, but without one you can just leave it open with a small filter on it.

My question is: I did a search and someone was saying that they lost some boost when they left it open with a little filter on it. Do I need to route it into my piping so that the turbo is operating more efficiently and not bleeding boost? If it is leaking, I also imagine that it would have a negative effect on spool times. Ideas?

i think its a good idea to plumb it, cant hurt. I dont know if it would leak or not but i would guess that it would maybe a bit.

It will leak under boost, I never got mine to work correctly anyways so I just capped it off.

Mine doesn't appear to be leaking in boost...

Maybe it was just mine then, When I did a boost leak test it leaked pretty bad.

DOH! Why didn't I think of that. I've made a few of those, I can just hook it up and test for leaks.
