What are your afr calibration points for aem 30-4100 wb

I calibrated my 30-4100 at 0v=10:1 4.99v=19.95:1 my calibration is close to a whole point of in ts compared to the wideband. I pulled the power from the radio in the Miata. Maybe I can tinker with it until they get close to matching up. Anybody want to share voltage and calibration points.

I have my power coming from the 12V source in my Megasquirt. I just chose the first AEM gauge from the drop down in Tuner Studio. I think it was for a 30-4200. Mines only like .1-.2 off it seems. Im assuming that when you say whole point you are talking 1.0 not .1

MeowMeowTurbo 03-18-2014 08:42 PM

Yea, I tapped into my megasquirt powersource just a little while ago and i'm still one point off. I guess i'm going to have to tune based off what megasquirt is seeing, i'm just adding a point in my mind, so when it shows 13.8 afr on the gauge its actually like 14.4 on the computer. Guess i'm just going to have to live with it.

I searched forever to for the 30-4100

my settigns for my mspnp2 are
.35v for 10.0
4.54v for 18.5

the settings from the instructions posted by AEM dont work very well.

Tell me about it. I'll try your calibration numbers when I get home. Its a pretty common wideband I'm surprised more people don't have this issue

Hi Jason,

Try moving your ground around. This is pretty common - Take your ground location for the gauge and ground it to the "analog sensor" ground on your ECU if you have one. If not just use the same ground location as your ECU.

If you do it while the car is sitting at idle you'll literally see it change to the correct number. I see this all the time.

MeowMeowTurbo 03-19-2014 11:33 AM

Hmmmmm. I have power and ground running from the wiring harness I'll have to check into this

Right but try grounding to the same location as the ECU. With these low voltage analog signals it only takes a little resistance to offset your accuracy. Fixing it with adjusting your calibration points is a band-aid and will probably net inaccurate results.

MeowMeowTurbo 03-19-2014 11:41 AM

Oh trust me I'm trying to get this thing right. Where is the ecu ground in a 96 Miata? I have been fixing band aids in this car the major booboo the po had was an aem fic6 running the car.

MeowMeowTurbo 03-19-2014 11:45 AM

I tried a quick google search but couldn't find the chassis ground. I'll check the Hanes manual when I get off work. Let me know if you know where it is so I don't have to dig quite so hard. Thanks for your help FAB and zero!

Ground it to the block?

MeowMeowTurbo 03-19-2014 02:37 PM

Where on the block I want to get the same ground and finally get this right

concealer404 03-19-2014 02:39 PM

.... You're asking us where your Megasquirt is grounded? I just want to be clear that this is actually the question being asked.

MeowMeowTurbo 03-19-2014 02:43 PM

Yea essentially I'm trying to understand where the ecu (megasquirt) is ground off to its the factory harness. I'm spliced into the power and ground using the little vampire clips I really need to pull the seat again so I can get enough wire to solder the power and ground in instead of the clips. Wonder if that is giving enough resistance to throw it off.

I would not run a ground all the way to your engine block.

Tap the ground wire coming from the ECU. Pin 4A Color - B/LG. (Top right in this picture.)

Jesus.

MeowMeowTurbo 03-19-2014 03:34 PM

Yea I did 4b for power and 4d for ground I'll go back and switch the ground to 4a

changing it to those values made the sensor and tunerstudio the same. and it stays the same throughout the entire range.

it hasent messed up on me yet>

MeowMeowTurbo 03-19-2014 07:39 PM

We'll I just got home and switched the ground and recalibrated to zeros targets and I'm dead on!!!!!!!!

:skid::skid:
