I'm worried about accidentally going into boost on a highway or when merging or something, and I'd just assume have a map so I can if I need to.

Besides, trying to stay out of boost with a 2554 and a 1.8 is like asking the pope to denounce his faith

just dont push it hard, there is possibility to still build positive pressure with the WG unhooked.

wg needs to be wired open...and even then you'll still build a little boost.
