whats better?

MS 1 V2.2 or V3 for a simple boost application around 5 -6psi goal is 200hp at crank. rather do i need the extras V3 has?

Ck.

Braineack 02-18-2010 01:43 PM

You don't technically need, for a basic setup, the extra stuff the v3.0 gives you.

You could easily make a v2.2 board have: ignition, fuel, fan, and launch control.

Anything more, like adding the EBC will require creativity on your part. But most boards don't use half the features of a v3.0 board, like the VR circuit and PWM circuit, especially when using HR code.

Therefore, if you're really looking to save some cash, it will save you a good $48.

But would i be better off with V3?

Bond 02-18-2010 02:18 PM

You would be $48 poorer. Yes that is a word.

dont fuck with me.

get a DIYPNP unit. You'll need an MS-II to use your stock sensor and the diypnp couldn't be easier.

no time

I'm just playing with brainy. Hell, if he banned me I bet my grades would go up. This forum is too cool though. Where else can you backtalk to Admin and know they won't take it personally and PM you warning points.

^i laughed a bit

Will i need the MS2 with the diypnp? (you kinda worded it like that, just making sure)

Zaphod 02-19-2010 01:56 AM

Read, think, post...

The DIYPNP IS a MS2. (in fact a microsquirt aka MS2)

00mx5se 02-19-2010 09:22 AM

^right.

I'm getting DIYPNP Nippon Denso 76pin Unassembled Kit I'll start building it maybe finish before springs end. going to take my time on it.

turotufas 02-20-2010 02:33 AM

Somehow :dunno: I fucked mines up "taking my time" If you can't crank it out in a few hours don't do it. But if you have skills, carry on.

00mx5se 02-20-2010 09:17 AM

I can design and print my own circuits, my soldering skills are well formed. I just don't like to rush. i took 3 days to build my MS1 for my old car.

Not be be an ass, but if you have used and built an MS before shouldn't you be more informed?

00mx5se 02-20-2010 11:34 PM

Yeah I should be, i re-ask alot of questions I want to keep my car safe and any differences in cars/ecu i don't want to miss. so even if i know ill still ask.

aug 02-20-2010 11:43 PM

Oh, well that's cool. Another strategy might be to share what you do know. This way people can either acknowledge your awareness or adjust it accordingly. Good luck with your build!

00mx5se 02-21-2010 09:15 AM

lol thanks
