where to buy miata ecu 64-pin connector?
I need to build a plug-n-play harness for a MS, and I'm looking for a good place to buy the 64-pin connector (tyco 174518-7). The only places I've seen require a minimum order of $35, and I'd rather not waste the money.
Suggestions? Group buy? Justin |

By the way... has anybody seen a 48pin version of this connector? For my application I'll be putting the ECU in the OEM miata case, so if I am to use the 64pin connector then I'll have to cut it in two pieces. It's not the end of the world, but it would be easier if I could find the 48pin connector.
And if all else fails I could just dissect an OEM ECU..... |
If you're putting it in the OEM case why don't you use the existing connector from the circuit board?

My MS install is a unique one. I've had to make a few code changes in the firmware. I may have to go back and forth between the OEM and MS ecu for a while until the code is worked out. I also need to be able to dyno test OEM vs Megasquirt.
But yeah... that is an option in the long run. It would just save some time to go ahead and do it the right way. |
