Where to take boost readings from?

As the title says, Im at the stage where Im plumbing up my actuator and boost controller.

I remember reading about it before on here, but I cant seem to find it now!

Anyway, my question is, can I take the boost reading off the intake manifold, where my MAP sensor ready to the ecu comes from? As in just put a splitter in the line there, on to the solenoid and one to the MAP sensor? IS this even a boosted area?
Doing this would save me the hassle of putting another fitting into my intercooler pipe work.

And if this is possible, would I be able to split it again when the pipe goes into my ECU/MAP sensor, and then run my boost gauge off that too?

Any help would be appreciated, I tried to find where I read that but no luck!

Yes, you want to T off the stock fuel pressure regulator and run that to your MAP sensor. An I believe myself and others T off of that inside the cabin for our boost gauges.

What Curly said.

For the wastegate / boost controller, you will want a source that is post intercooler and pre throttle body. Search for the thread that Joe Perez made about this.

So I cant tee off the fuel pressure reg, where my MAP sensor is going for my wastegate?

No, you want the wastegate line pre-throttle body. A lot of turbos come with the compressor housing tapped for a nipple that goes right to the wastegate.
