where to wire hall effect sensor ms3 basic.

I am having a bit of trouble finding where to wire my my haltech hall effect sensor into my ms3 basic. The stock cam sensor is being used to find the vvt angle at the moment. So I can't splice into it.

Let's back up.

What are you trying to do?

I have an aftermarket cam sensor that I am trying to wire into ms3 basic db37 port. It doesnt look like it is possible or am I overlooking something.

Yes in essence. It's not an ideal set up but it was so it could be compatible with a haltech ecu.

But you're running an MS3 Basic.

Timothy Tran 03-03-2020 06:13 PM

Yes that is correct. The previous owner had this setup for a haltech. I was wondering if I could wire this aftermarket sensor into ms3. The stock cam sensor was redone to read the vvt angle. I don't know how else to explain it. Sorry for the mess of an explanation.

What sensors do you have currently? Do you have a crank sensor?

Timothy Tran 03-03-2020 06:26 PM

I still have the crank position sensor. But I pretty much do not have a functioning camshaft position sensor. I got an ait , coolant temp and oil pressure sensor if that is relevant.
