Wtf did I do? I reconnected the connector in front I throttle body. Car won't start.

Car is a 1992 with begi running mega squirt 1.
I read earlier that the iac should be connected. I went home and remembered it and connected the dangling connector near the tb (on top of alternator).
Now the car won't start. I disconnected it, and I still won't start.

What did I mess up? Did I fry something?

The connector was plugged into a black rectangular box next to the throttle body.

It has been fine for the past 2 years. I should have left it as is. :vash:

Posting from phone. Sorry for typos.

If the image shows, it's the black box on the right.

Black box on the right is the throttle position sensor, the one below/front is the IAC. Those connectors do not look interchangeable so not sure what you actually plugged in where. And IDK about MS, but on a DSM if the IAC gets/gives incorrect voltage it can result in damage to the ECU.

First of all, thanks for replying .

Then it was the tps that I touched.
I just got back home and tries it again and the car started.
Turned it off, and its having a hard time starting again.

Well the 92 had an on or off tps I believe. I changed to a variable tps. Did you set up the ms. Maybe the took the tps out of the loop since all it did was closed or open?
I dont know really.

Unplug it. You cannot run a standard 90-93 MT tps with MS. In fact, on 'standard' builds (aka. the way brain and most other people do it) having the TPS plugged in can result in the injectors locking open and flooding your engine.

Well, I'll be damned. This should teach me that if it ain't broken, don't fix it.
My MS is indeed from Braineack. Now, the question is, how do I unlock the injectors? I'll run the car quite a bit when it starts again.

You don't need to 'unlock' them, but you may have fouled your plugs. Pull out your spark plugs and put a towel over the holes. Crank the engine over a few times to clear out the gasoline that has accumulated, replace the plugs and try again.

Even if you plugged them in once, it would be fine. shouldnt of changed your settings...

Update: car starts on the first try now.

I ran it after it for around 10 minutes after it started. Looked at every setting in tuner studio and checked coolant temp on hot restart. It was 160 F. Checked ASE values at that temp and cranked it down a little bit. Also turned off ASE startup enrichment. AFR is right where it should be at idle - mid 14 to low 15.

This community rocks! Thanks guys!
