Use on the intake side of your pump.
You can screw in any fitting you like.

Jason, why would you need one of these? To prevent cotaminating you mixture so you don't end up clogging your nozzles? Any other benefit?
Thanks for the neat info

There has always been some fear of a nozzle clogging and you think you are injecting, but not. No water when you think you are spraying = FAIL

I'd be curious to know what the pressure differential across that filter is at the flow rates we encounter. Restrictive filters are typically placed on the high-pressure sides of pumps where they can do far less harm- the diaphragm pumps that most of us use are not rated to draw very much on the suction side. (though for the life of me, I can't seem to find anything better than priming height on the Shurflo datasheets...)

Article pointed out that the italian pump they recommended works fine on the intake. Besides flow rates are low.

what ever you do dont use a carbon filter!! i use to do water purifcation i would just use a sediment filter NOTHING WITH CARBON, or purify the stuff before you add the water to the resivoir

so with a filter like that, do you need to put in purified water or is regular water ok?

patsmx5 12-10-2008 03:36 AM

Yeah I was wondering the same thing actually.... Jason, you can do better with your description.
