How much will i need to change maps
Just completed my install of my base kit to my 12psi JRSC 1.6, with a TDR A/A I/C,
I have the nozzle positioned on the stainless pipework from the I/C just before the connection with the dummy throttle body. I have a temp probe drilled /tapped into the middle of the intake chamber -and have been seeing some temps up to 160degF at full boost. I already have an aggresive timing map , with base timing at 14deg, i dont pull any timing ,in fact i,m pushing all the way from idle to redline ,just pushing 2deg around 4000rpm -5000rpm, My Q is - how much will i have to change my fuelling map and will i be able to gain any more timing advance. |
yes you should be able to add in more timming, as far as fueling you might need to compensat 3-5% depending on your nozzle and methanol content.

In my experience, I had to take away about 5% when running a meth/water mix. Without any changes to the fuel map, the car would run about 0.5 AFR richer.
Don't take my word though... there's a thread that touches on the issue over an M.net: http://forum.miata.net/vb/showthread...8&page=2&pp=25 Ben and JMan would disagree with me. Fuck m.net... Bunch of PHONIES |
This coaberates what i have seen. just tweak it a hair past your activation point and see how it goes.
