JRSC Coolingmist install question

Okay we got everything together to get the install going on the Coolingmist install now that we have the new(er) motor installed.

Heres my question:

The JRSC has a dummy throttle body you bolt onto the intake manifold, which extends the intake manifold over to and including the supercharger. ON the back of the charger is where the throttle body is located.

In the dummy throttle body theres a 1/8" NPT threaded hole.. Which the injector fits in perfectly. However, thats *AFTER* the throttle body, but would IMHO be the best location to inject water at... However, when the engine goes into vacuum isn't that going to start sucking water out of the system that hasn't been injected? The system came with a little check valve, but thats just to keep boost pressure out of the water system right?

Would adding a solenoid from their site allow us to install the injector after the throttle blade without any adverse effects?

I think the check valve will handle both task. It is directional, and will not let your boost back into the water system, and I doubt you will generate enough vacuum, to defeat the spring, and ball within the check valve.

Yep, it's just a matter of how much pressure that check valve takes to open.

Otherwise you could do a SHSV (not sure if that is what you are talking about) to control the injection. You typically want the nozzle as far away from the throttle body as possibly (before it) so that you give the water/alc the most time to atomize.

I put that check valve on a vacuum pump and it was still shut @ 25 inches mercury, so I think we'll give it a shot and see what happens. My speed6 never makes 25inHg from a 6000rpm decel..

Okay, I took the pressure switch to my brothers office and calibrated it to open at 4 psi, then we hooked it all up. The charger is supposed to be making 8psi at the manifold, and the below attached photo shows a pressure switch, thats where the water was plumbed in at. We measured flow at approx 11.5oz/minute which doesn't seem too much however the motor doesn't like it at all. Under full throttle, full boost acceleration the engine starts cutting out really bad. Turn off the injection, just fine. I'm thinking we're injecting too close to the head at that location. That sound right? When we get time we're gonna hook it back up but move it at the outlet of the charger.

i'd think it'd serve you better pre-blower. i have a buddy running a diy setup that injects right before the s/c and it's tits.
