Yeah, ran across the Snow device yesterday. It'd probably be the better candidate- besides being "fiddly" the 'mist sensor outputs an analog voltage proportional to flow, so you'd need an external comparator to drive the system. More complexity... And I'm running out of space under the hood for gadgets.
I think I'll just install a filter in the system, try to keep the tank relatively clean, and inspect and clean the nozzle from time to time. BTW- anybody ever use these "outside thread" nozzles? http://www.coolingmist.com/detailmain.aspx?pid=13N I'd love to just weld a 1/8" bung on my charge pipe and be able to remove and install the nozzle from the outside, rather than having to pull the pipe to clean & inspect every time. |
They look nice to me. I know devilsown was looking at getting something more like that. Haven't heard or seen anything though. Sure would make cleaning/inspection easier. My IC pipes are a PITA to remove, so I'd like one.

I love the idea thanks for the link if i run a 2nd stage i know where to get my nozzle now. I believe the Snow kits on the SRT forum run something similiar.

I hate to whore aquamist again but... I never realized the other guys weren't using outside-mount nozzles!
Aquamist even sells a bung adapter you can thread into the pipe (1/8 npt) and then screw the nozzles into that. Shown below with a plug in it... http://gallery.y8s.com/miata/turbo/DSC00174.jpg.html |
