1.6 auto throttle body w/ TPS
Like the title says. A complete throttle body assembly out of a 1.6 automatic car, with IAC and a working TPS. The TPS on this unit was shot when I bought it. I wound up converting my old TB to accept a Honda TPS, so this one is for sale with a recently acquired working TPS attached. Also includes the 4-pin TPS connector you'll need to hook it up.
$70 will basically cover my cost on this, so that's the ask. |

The TPS itself is not PNP with a manual 1.6 throttle body- auto and manual 1.6 Miatas actually had a different throttle body. However the complete assembly will bolt right on to your intake manifold.
It uses a different connector than the 1.6 manual TPS (4 pin vs. 3 pin) however I have the mating 4 pin connector which you can splice into your wiring harness. |

hey joe is there a benefit to useing a auto TB over a manual TB on a manual car?

only if you have a ecu that can take advantage of it. IE: megasquirt

emanage? the reason i ask is because i bought a new motor that was an auto but my car is a manual and i though they were the same ......thats what i get for thinking!!!!

By eManage, do your mean EMB or EMU? If EMU then I'd suggest modifying the wiring harness to take advantage of the A/T TB. You'll need to grab +5Vref from the AFM and discard the WOT wire. |

well i have a stock manual ecu with emb (that i havnt set up yet) with a t25 turbo spearco front mount intercooler rising rate fuel pressure regulator a walbro 255 pump and soon to have 460cc injectors.
i do have a torsen, act stage three clutch and fadanza fly wheel if that matters!! not to pick your brain but do you think my 300whp goal is to much for this setup? |

Seriously. A Walbro 255 and 460cc injectors, with an EMB? Ok, so no first-hand experience on the Walbro, but a lot of folks have reported that the 255 flows more fuel than the factory FPR can effectively bypass, causing a pressure rise on the fual rail which translates to too much fuel when not in boost. The one I do have first-hand experience with is trying to run huge injectors with an EMB. (Well, I emulated it with my EMU for kicks one day.) The EMB just doesn't have enough range to work with on the AFM signal to control those suckers at the lower-end of the load chart. You've got two avenues that I can see to salvage the system: 1: Ditch the 255 and replace it with a 195HP. Sell or trade the 460's for some 300-330cc injectors. 2: Ditch the 255 and go back to the stock fuel pump. Sell the EMB and the AFPR and buy either a megasquirt or an EMU. |
