1999 BP4W cylinder head - repairable - $250
3 Attachment(s)
This is the cylinder head from my recently blown '99 longblock. There is some material transfer on the 3rd cylinder. All the other cylinders look good to me, but obviously you're going to want to give them all the same treatment. I've had the head checked out by a machine shop and they say it should be no problem to surface the head, remove the material that was transferred, and make it perfectly usable.
I am going to switch to a VVT head for my next motor, so I'm not going to be using the head. I can either spend the time and money to have it resurfaced, or sell it cheap to someone who is looking to build a '99 head. The assumption is that you will be rebuilding this head, so I can't make any guarantees as to its condition. I have no reason to believe there is any damage beyond the metal transfer, and I will take detailed photos for a serious buyer, but there are no guarantees here, and the price reflects that. Asking $250, but I am pretty open to offers. Cylinder 3: Attachment 202318 Cylinder 2: Attachment 202319 Cylinder 1: Attachment 202320 |
Is it $250 shipped or not?
|
I can't imagine shipping being cheap, so the initial asking is 250+ship, but like I said I am open to offers.

Bare head or what else is included?
|
Both cams with cam gears, all the lifters, springs, etc. I should be able to include the intake manifold too, provided my new motor comes with one. I could probably throw stuff like the fuel rail in as well, again depending on what the new motor comes with. I haven't taken anything major off the head. It will not include a CAS.
Two other things I should mention: The head was not rebuilt when I put this motor together. It's got around 100k miles on it (I bought the motor at 98k, put a few street miles on it and then around 20 hours of track time). It's also set up for a spacerless reroute - there is a hole that's tapped for 3/8" NPT that's waiting for a 3/8"NPT-5/8" barb fitting to feed the heater. |
Is the head still for sale??
