ONE PAIR (2) BRIDE VIOS LOW MAX RACING SEATS:eBay Motors (item 120439618861 end time Aug-23-09 08:32:12 PDT)
not affiliated. does anyone want a single seat? id love to get just one of these for my car so if anyone wants to chip in... both of us can get a great freaking deal. these seats are VERY comfy! |
The auction discription makes me think these are knock-offs. These seats usually go for $750 each.
Just a little buyer beware. |

Just a little buyer beware. What you mean this "Bride" is a legal registered trademark in Taiwan. This seat is not made in Japan. |
I wouldn't buy it unless you just want it for look. I rather have certified racing bucket seats than those fake seats.
|
How can yall tell? I dont know much about racing seat? Just it's a lot cheaper?

SEARCH!!!! my.IS - Lexus IS Forum - Fake Bride Seats Bride Super Seat How to check fake or authentic bride seat! - Zilvia.net Forums | Nissan 240SX (Silvia) and Z (Fairlady) Car Forum |
|
those are definitely knock off, maybe even knock off of knock offs:laugh: but a friend of mine has the exact same set and they are really comfortable and are actually made quite well.
For the person who daily drives and wants the racer look these would work well. |
$234 for one seat shipped. hm... dirt cheap... think i will die in that seat in case of accident? i really want to get rid of my cf seat because it doesnt fit me well enough and i tried one of these (but real) the other day and they fit me PERFECTLY
|
The seller (Batlground) is a shop here in Atlanta that I thought was reputable. I've seen a few of their cars around town. Just checked out their website and it seems kind of jacked up (the "parts" link goes to a blank page). My vote: definitely knockoffs, and probably not worth the money. If anyone is looking for a fixed back racing seat in that price range, I'd try an Ultrashield or a Kirkey, or a Corbeau Forza if you need something with a little padding.
|
Momo Start is another option. I just bought a set.

I got a buddy thats building a NX2000 and he has some Corbeau Seats he is lookin to get rid of. Recently lost his job and needs the money bad. He isn't a member here but is on other forums (mainly nissan). He has a good buyer/seller rating on those forums. If interested just message me.

I know I'm a little late to the party on this post but seriously, I don't see the big deal with buying fake. Especially if you go read all that other info about the trademark and stuff. Honestly though, I would buy the fakes and actually plan on doing so at some point in the future.
|
problem with fakes is that there is a huge chance that they will shatter in case of accident. seat is a safety item

Well no one ever plans on getting in an accident but I would hope the seat would hold up also. Like I said earlier though, if all that I have read (on the internet mind you...) they might be the real thing just made at a different place. Sort of like anything else, do I know anyone that has these seats and has gotten in an accident and it broke, no I don't. DO I want to be the first to find out, hell no. I am going to get them like I said, hopefully I never have to find out if they crack...hopefully.
|
Hell, check these out!!! EVEN CHEAPER and they look to be installed in a Miata.

Who"s to say these seats aren't built better than the 18 year old ones in my car now? Or that the old ones in my car aren't ready to break...I will get some and tell you guys how they work.

go for it dude, nobody is stopping you!
waiting on "i had to pick fiberglass out of my ass with pliers after accident" thread |
i know someone who had the fake brides in his wrx and he wrapped it around a tree totaled the car and they didnt have any issues. i guess under certain stress points they might break but i would be willing to bet they are made with equal quality material, the price is lower because they are made in sweat shops instead of in osme factory that pays like 10$ an hour in japan.

my sparco reps i had broke at the welds between the seat back and the seat base... when a slightly... wider friend of mine sat in it and was trying to adjust for his size, i drove home with the seat back not attached to the seat base after that, never again, seats are safety items, go proper or don't even bother i dont have the pics anymore... but i hope people know this |

I used to have a group of friends into cars and we had a little nickname among us...Team FBG....aka Far Beyond Grip....but it really stood for Fuck BatleGround. That "shop" is a sponsor on a local forum here in GA and peddles their wears on there with stupid shit like "prices too low to post, please call" and whatnot
-42 for fake chinese knock-off seats. |
