3" ARTech Turbo exhaust
1 Attachment(s)
I recently installed a beautiful exhaust built by Abe for my specific goals, but those goals have changed.
This setup is downpipe back, as in there is no provision for a cat. It has a flange to match factory or aftermarket downpipes, with a big 3" flex section where the cat would usually be. That first flange is 2.5", with a bell section immediately taking it to 3". It goes straight back to a v-band fitting at the axle to make installation easy, and shipping easy as well since it breaks down into two pieces. Custom pie-cut radius to squeeze in the Magnaflow 22" body muffler, and a slant cut tip right at the factory location. Completely stainless, sounds great. Quiet when cruising but still enough rumble to let you know it's there without bein obnoxious. Really opens up when you get on it, but not in a ricey way. Crummy cell video attached, will try to get better pics and video. It cost a lot, but is worth it. Let's just say that I HAVE to sell it, and am open to offers. I hate to see it go after waiting so long to have a nice exhaust and finally getting one, but priorities have changed a little, and I no longer need the 3" flow, or anything this nice on a car I'm converting back to pedestrian use. $500 $450 shipped Feel free to ask any questions. |

Thanks It doesn't go all the way up to the outlet elbow...don't those also have an actual downpipe section. It should mate up to that since they make their kits to fit stock exhaust flange locations. This exhaust entails the flange in front of your cat, and everything from there to the tip. |
Got it, my bad

It mates up great to my BEGi downpipe, and they used to make the FM kits. This thing really took all of 5min to install. Hangs on the 5 factory hanger locations, and I can include a couple of new rubber hanger pieces. |
I'm really interested in getting this before hitting the dyno on the 23rd next week.
Please post actual pics when you get a chance. Thanks |

Hey!!! That's it. How'd you...?
I forgot I probably had build pics in my PM box...thanks for that. Going to pick up a kayak for my daughter tonight that I found an awesome deal on CL for...^^^this is much easier than jacking it up, cleaning it off, and taking pics. whitena: I completely cleaned it with alcohol after install and before first fire-up so it took on a good color. I will make sure it's as clean as possible before I package and ship so you can really enjoy the work of art that Abe does. |
Hey Abe,
Tight radius 3" bends are our friend. ATP. Cheap. Make life easy. $500 is a steal. I may buy it, steal the flex, then sell the rest for $580 to someone else ;) jk. |
Beautiful weld but pic of tip? The Fm exhaust I have now clears the Beatrush triangle bar I have, do you know if yours will? Look a lil low in the pic.

Probably not...I had to remove my OEM brace and will have to put a slight kink in it.

I'm gonna have to pass on this, Damn!
Thanks for your honesty. GLWS |

Thanks for your honesty. GLWS Honestly, just PM Abe (ARTech), and he can build you whatever you want. I ordered the muffler from performance peddler and had it shipped straight to him, where he built this setup EXACTLY like I wanted it. Pain free, very quickly, and cheaper than I thought something like this would run. What I'm asking isn't far off his out-the-door shipped price after the muffler and all, and I had a lot of small things that added extra cost (~$100). If you order a shorter body muffler it will be much easier for him to fab, and without the v-band clamp should clear your brace easily. Regardless of what you pay, it's worth it when you open the box, hang it, and 10min later are listening to a decent, potent burble instead of a ricey blat of a warm-up idle. EDIT: I found a cheap kayak on CL last night, so probably don't have to sell this anymore...thank you sweet baby Jesus. EDIT 2: This IS still for sale, I just no longer HAVE to sell it. Thanks for the interest for those who have PMed. Would be happy to hook someone up with a sweet exhaust. |

Thanks Tim. Couldn't find them when I searched. Completely forgot about ATP. That would have saved me A LOT of time. I did find these 2.5" CLR radius elbows from Vibrant:
http://d5otzd52uv6zz.cloudfront.net/...f6644b-420.jpg Damon, so the brace didn't fit? Sorry, I tried my best to run the exhaust as high as possible. I don't see how it could be brought up any higher without having to grid the tab on the differential. Here's a few pics of the tip: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...R/DSCF5492.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...R/DSCF5495.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...R/DSCF5496.jpg |
Thanks Abe.
The tip placement is spot one. Also, I'd prefer to remove the brace than to have it too close to the diff. Brace can very easily be bent, and the rear actually feels more planted since I removed it. |
