3" Turbo Racing Exhaust
4 Attachment(s)
I used this exhaust on my 271whp Supercharged SSM AutoX Miata and boy was that a mistake. It made good power and torque, but it was loud and hence while I'm only recommending a turbo owner buy this.
I threw the Burns Stainless catalog at this exhaust system: - 18 gauge stainless steel plus - Two 12" Ultra Light Racing Mufflers - Downturn that dumps out in front of the rear end. - Hangers to work with stock system, but I installed an extra hanger off the rear sub-frame to keep it from shaking. - Straight through high flow and high quality exhaust system. - Parts alone were ~$800 for this system not including the labor to build it. - Very light, weighs in under 10 lbs, will get the exact weight this weekend. - Bolts up to any 1.8L header, but no previsions for a CAT, purely a race exhaust. Price $350 |
thats a pretty good deal for someone considering those are the best race mufflers money can buy and are about $300 each. (burns)

Not to mention I only used the system once, so everything is brand new.

if this was 2.5" I would but it just for the mufflers alone

What did this blow on the sound meters at Autocross?
|
I never had it tested at a AutoX, but with a 1.2L Whipple Blower and +310hp at the crank, through a big header, it was moving some serious gases. Probably like 105 decibels if I had to guess, the intake noise the car made was probably 100 db by itself, it was a beautifully obnoxious miata. But that's why I'm selling it as a Turbo exhaust, it wouldn't be any where near as loud on a turbo car.
