I'm seriously hoping you didn't set that head flat on the mating surface with the cam caps torqued.

I've see stock heads bend valves that way.....less long cams with 10mm lift.

The head is sitting on thick cardboard. I gently placed it there for the sake of taking a few pictures then set it back up on end. The cams are obviously not at max lift. Thank you for your concern though.

To clarify, 1.) have the cams been run in, and 2.) who did the port work, and do you have flow numbers and pics of the ports?

Cams have been run in and look great, head was ported by my old boss at the engine shop I worked at, and flow tested on a super flow flow bench. Pm me for more details

How's the idle with these cams? Was it choppy at all? I've been looking for a good set of cams to swap out my factory 99 I&E...

I'll tell you what I have told every one else that asks.

They are aggressive, they have a mean lumpy idle that sounds spectacular.
I had them idle at 1200.

BUT...
I had a big throttle body and custom fabricated intake manifold, I had no idle control other than a screw on the throttle plate. So I ran it higher to keep it from stalling so much when it was cold (no cold idle)

These cams will idle at 1000rpm.
I can't tell you if they are right for you and your motor. It's for you to decide what you want.

I drove them on the street, I passed CT emissions twice with no cat on 880cc old style peak and hold injectors.

Let me check my account when I get home, but I'm interested. Did the lift make the car interference? I've got 9:1 comp wiseco pistons right now, what were you running for pistons? How much for both cams and gears shipped to 55104?

Well i never broke a timing belt to find out, I would think its safe to assume yes it is now interference. On a side note, someone please buy at least the cams, all i need is money for a clutch to get the K24 into my car.

This is a really nice deal. Just finished my cam + SUB project and ended up with about this much money in my head, and this one has much more $$$ parts. Way better deal than starting from scratch.
