Just a note: If it's the original diff, the 2003 did not have a torsen. It was a tochigi-fuji LSD.

I wouldn't run an 03 3.90 T-F LSD. Of all the blown up torsens I've run across, probably half of them are 03 3.90's. Many of them were set up incorrectly at the factory. |

Maybe I am wrong and the car isn't a 2003. But the spec Miata forums and the few other forums I read all say that 6 speeds are torsens. I also don't see a bar l, I've sold lots of differentials bud I know what I am selling.

Where is all the information that says otherwise? Everything I find says that '03+ have tochigi-fuji. That being said, the pic you posted is definitely a Torsen so no worries there.
