'93 Base Part Out

30 Attachment(s)
I picked up this ’93 base trim with the intentions of putting it back together and selling it as a whole. Unfortunately a 14yr old kid with no mechanical guidance rebuilt the motor, so I don’t feel it’s worth the headache. The long block is probably only good for a core or a rebuild project. The body is pretty straight. The doors have multiple door dings, but don’t appear to have any major damage. The soft top is trash. Only thing worth saving is the frame. If you need a part and don’t see it listed below, let me know and I may have it in one of the boxes they gave me of parts. I am located in Murfreesboro, TN for any parts you would like to pick up. Contact me via PM or email (ishroadkill@hotmail.com)

Ok. If it falls through, please let me know!

Can you verify the pulley hasn't slipped by checking mechanical TDC, and making sure it points to the T on the timing cover?

If it does, I want the pulley.

MercuryCross 06-14-2014 01:29 AM

what condition is the relay that connects the water temp fan switch and guage engine temp sensor on the back of the block by the firewall, is it good?

curly 06-14-2014 09:35 AM

You'll have to be more specific, as even I don't know what you're talking about.

Do you want the aluminum cover? Or some electrical relay that connects the temp gauge sensor and ECU temp sensor?

MercuryCross 06-14-2014 02:12 PM

The 2nd, it's the electrical relay

Can you take a picture of what you need? I'm still a little confused.

Potentially. Let me get it pulled out of the car this week, weight and measure it, and get you a estimated shipping cost.

Both head light assemblies and lower window trim is sold.

Dash and driveshaft sold.

Midtenn 07-08-2014 08:08 AM

The shell is going to scrap yard this weekend.

leboeuf 07-08-2014 10:52 AM

Before you potentially scrap it:
Do you have the speedo cable? Does it squeeaaaak? Mine is driving me insane...
Also do you have the gauge cluster?

Midtenn 07-08-2014 01:10 PM

1 Attachment(s)
I'll have to check on the speedo cable squeaking and I do still have the gauge cluster. The color is a little faded on the gauge cluster and there is a small crack in the clear cover. If you're interested, I'll do $40 shipped USPS for both.

Midtenn 07-16-2014 01:22 PM

Bump to the top. Gotta pay for the next track day.

Monk 07-16-2014 02:12 PM

Do you have any NB rear subframes lying around? The Laz build got me thinking.

curly 07-16-2014 03:08 PM

You apparently only need the uprights for the +5mm offset, however the NB subframe does give you the mounting points for the ladder brace.

I was surprised to find no differences in bracing or design in the PPF or subframe, from a '92 to an '05, like Mazda did in the interior of the tub.

None, for the reason Josh mentioned below, the uprights have all the geometry change. Most people don't think think about the ladder brace (which is a little different on the NB's). I don't know if the NA6's have the chassis side hole for the brace though.

curly 07-16-2014 05:30 PM

They don't, but you can either cut those legs off the brace, or drill for some mighty big rivnuts. Those legs that go from the subframe to the chassis are the biggest "upgrade" with that ladder brace.

Monk 07-18-2014 06:53 AM

Thanks guys. I wish I would have thought about that when you sent me the diff from that NB.

adamiata 07-18-2014 08:21 AM
