94-97 JR M45 Supercharger kit w/BBK, Exhaust, Header, BTC. Now with Pics!
OK, so you guys aren't big on this stuff but WTF?
All this stuff was installed by a previous owner and now has 17k on it. The guy had some cash and I think he just pulled out the checkbook and had somebody order the whole JR catalog a few years ago. Here's what's up for sale; all JR stuff: M45 Supercharger kit with Big Boost Kit - $1200. Take it all for $1900(Can be updated to current tensioner and PC card controller for $470 via the Moss catalog if you care.) Crossover tube has hole for IAT probe. http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1078/...be607a81_o.jpg Boost Timing Controller - $225 http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1232/...16a76af5_o.jpg http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1305/...2592bfea_o.jpg Header - Ceramic coated - $295 Bung added for wideband. I have a plug for this if needed. http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1031/...109a2c5a_o.jpg http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1078/...2dc132b3_o.jpg Cat-back Exhaust - Stainless - $295 http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1191/...b7152952_o.jpg http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1374/...b999f617_o.jpg http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1265/...d8e563ff_o.jpg All prices + shipping, or pickup near central Ohio. Also have a cat (told it was high-flow but not sure) and gutted cat available with kit for $100 / $50 respectively. It's all still on the car at this point, so it might take me until the nearest weekend to remove. |
Somehow, the Flicker images aren't showing. It's too late to goof with it right now but I'll get pics up by the weekend or you can look here:

Hey Im very interested in the MP45 just the kit tho no headers or exhaust. Give me a call at 845 242 8119 thanks. I just have few questions if you wouldn't mind answering them.

I don't think it's quite compatible wit a 93. I originally posted that it's a different SC manifold but I don't think that's the case. I honestly don't know what the 90-93 and 94-97 kit differences are. Maybe it's the brackets? Perhaps it can be made to fit without a lot of hassle. Give Moss Motors a call and ask if it can be adapted for the earlier cars.
|
Looks like the dummy throttle body and crossover tube are different between the 90-93 and 94-97. I'll post if I find out more.
|
Ok im going to call moss as soon as there open, im not sure either if there compatible. I say that the cross over tube is def not the same and im not sure about the dumby throttle body. Im pretty sure it bolts right up tho but the pull on the crack may be different. Thx ill post back when i talk to the guys at moss.
Thanks Greg |
Pics fixed!

So, I've had a bit of interest in this but almost all of it from people with 1.6 engines (3 people actually). Anybody know what it takes to make that work? I called Moss on Saturday and Tech support isn't in on weekends. Sales just said "Oh yeah, it's not worth it to do that. Tell them to buy a new one." Seriously? I wonder why they would say that???? :jerkit:
And yes, this is partially a shameless excuse for a bump.... |

And yes, this is partially a shameless excuse for a bump.... Obviously the powercard would be different between the two, but I would assume the end buyer would be prepared to use their own fuel management. If you hear anything keep us posted. |
The main differences are the dummy throttle body and the engine brackets.

How many psi from the "big boost" supercharger?
|
Boost gauge typically indicates just shy of 9 psi. Never dynoed it so I don't have any HP claims. It was on the car when I bought it and I never intended to keep the unit so I haven't spent any time tuning it or anything. It's certainly more fun than my n/a '96, but I want to go turbo.

Just thought it was funny because my previous post was about the fact that I keep getting inquiries from folks with 1.6 cars and the kit is made for a 1.8 vehicle. Do you plan to retrofit or did you do a 1.8 swap?
|
mike_671,
I'm not trying to be difficult. I just want to make sure you can actually use it. Want you to be clear on what you'd be getting. Also i obviously want to protect myself as much as possible too. |
its ok. Yes its a 1.8. swap (94). So back to business, Can you quote me usps to 96913?
