Olderguy wanna sell me the whole rear setup? I need it to finish my rx-7 lsd swap. I would need basicly the driveshaft back. I have no idea what shipping would be on that stuff tho. I will PM you this msg as well.

olderguy 11-29-2006 06:11 AM

Rear stuff is just awaiting pick up. Cash is in hand. If that changes, I will post and go down the line of those that have already asked.

how much would you want for the pigtail that connects to the knock sensor and if the person buying the engine doesn't want the knock sensor how much for that?

I gotta play stupid here. While I pulled the engine with even the downpipe attached, and would leave it that way for a purchaser, I can't for the life of me identify anything I think is a knock sensor, much less with pigtails. I also don't see it on '94 parts diagrams. Where would it be?

projectmx 11-29-2006 12:39 PM

hmm i thought for sure miatas with the Bp engine came with a knock sensor.. let me find out... and the pigtail should be part of the engine wire harness... i think :)

projectmx 11-29-2006 12:45 PM

well sorry about that.. i just double checked and i was apparently mistaken on the years they started putting those in... sorry about that. out of curiosity... how much for the wire harness?

turbored 11-29-2006 01:07 PM

Pockets and pulls. Speaker cloth needs replacing.

Except for what is integral to the engine, it is all chopped up. Anyone who needs connectors, send a picture and I'll match them up.

Olderguy--I don't know what complexity is involved--but what about defroster wiring? I think 94 was the first year mazda prewired all cars for the switch. I have no idea if it is part of a harness with other cables, or if it's seperate. There is also a connector on the drivers side package shelf that the defroster pigtail plugs into.

The rest of the wiring was cut out and discarded when the dashboard was removed for "lightening", but I think I saw the package shelf connector. I can look for it if you are interested.

rappadan 11-29-2006 11:45 PM

do you have a diff for sale? i'm in desperate need. vlsd or open 1.6l

olderguy 11-30-2006 07:46 AM

I have a VLSD that I pulled off my '91 for sale. It seems to be in perfect shape with only 85000 miles(last 30k with Redline). Tested to meet workbook specifications before removing and putting on a Torsen. It's listed on Mnet because I thought it would be more appealing to spec miata guys than turbo owners.

Special price for members of this forum $250 plus shipping or pick up in Northern NJ

Couple of members have requested pictures of the door panels. THEY ARE NOT PRISTINE after 13 years of wear.
