Do these need special brackets to fit on a stock 1.6 miata? What size rotors are needed?

The oem calipers are sold. The wilwoods are the same fitment as most of the miata wilwood kits. Only difference is larger pistons.

So are the wilwoods for front or rear?

The wilwood calipers can be bolted to the front (lots of brackets available) or rear (v8r, maybe others) with whatever bracket you want to use.
