99-00 Megasquirt Partial PNP Patch Harnesses
Partial means that everything that can be PNP will be. You will still need a CAS from a 90-97, an IAT sensor if going turbo, and a wideband. Those three things will need to be wired up yourself.
The patch harness will make it possible to hook up megasquirt without modifying the stock ECU harness at all. On 99-00s i suggest velcroing the ECU directly to the stock ECU as it is out of the way and close. I can offer two different versions. -Boomslang style patch harness with all the input outputs done for you. ($75 shipped 48 states) -Boomslang harness with the MS DB37 harness as well built with the outputs you may or may not want. ($90 shipped 48 states) If you're interested in one let me know and I can go into a little more depth for you. PMs are fine. |
if i only knew about this before i bought my boomslang harness

How about a patch cable that installs between the factory ECU and the factory connectors like Autosport makes but less expensive?

That's exactly what I'm offering actually, pretty much exactly like what Autosport and boomslang is offering.

You will need: MSI Kit Pullup Resistors GM open element IAT if going forced induction Communication's cable DB9 or a DB9 to USB converter Wideband, (They sell the Innovate LC1) You will also need a cam angle sensor from a '90-97 to give MS a tach signal. They have good prices and excellent support. If you want Electronic Boost Control, make sure you get the mod kit for that and anything else you might think you need. I will just be fabbing up the ECU harness, you will have to wire up your own CAS, IAT, and wideband. All that is very simple though. |

I was worried about corrosion from dissimilar metals but sounds like you did your research. Count me in on a straight through patch harness. What's the lead time?
Sound like a plan? |

Hello cjernigan,
Just have a few questions, i am interested in your pnp harness but need to know what else I will need. I have 99 with jrsc m45 with a/w intercooler with water injection on stock boost pulleys. What would I need overall to make complete kit for this car. I was planning an AEM but have heard great success stories with a Megasquirt. Make me a believer and tell me why I should go this way, if you have the time. Omar M p.s. I plan on running larger injectors and boost upgrade pulleys in the future. Looking for 250whp reliable. Can it be accomplished? |
