99-2000 center console for sale (loaded) and 99-2000 10AE Bose Audio System.

3 Attachment(s)
Up for sale a 1999 center console loaded with tumbler, shift boot, 03-05 silver trim and 01-05 power window controller. The 1999-2000 center console is a very popular upgrade for those who favor functionality over form. Many people upgrade their 99-2000 center consoles to the 2001-2005 consoles only to find that the later has a notorious design flaw of its own. When you shift gears, your elbow just loves to pop open the top cup holder. (Flyin' Miata has even addressed this problem) It gets frustrating after a while.

I'm asking 50 dollars plus 10 dollars shipping to the 48 states. It's an excellent piece that has seen 48,000 miles of use, but unfortunately the plastic flex hinge is split, see picture. This seems to get every 99-2000 Miata center console :(

Well, now that it is sold, it's not thread crapping. I have this Bose thing as well. 200 watts? Are the joking? This thing blows goats. I haven't been this disenchanted with a factory stereo system since the factory radio in my mom's BRAND NEW 1981 Ford Fairmont. 4dr. With a 4 cylinder. What a turd. Yes, dad was a die hard Ford fan. It replaced the nice "cream with brown vinyl top" 77 Ford LTD 4 dr. It's definitely on the list of things to do.:hustler:

Dumb question about the center console, now that it sold...

Did your automatic function still work on the window buttons? I had a "knowledgable" mitata parts dude tell me that it will not operate the windows and that I needed more parts to make this work. He talked me out of it; but hell... if it works, I wanna do it!

Thanks and cheers,
Prospero

I'm just going by the wattage that is stamped on each bose individual amplifier. each are labeled "100 watt, 3 Amp"

As for the automatic window buttons. As far as what I know, all 2001-2005 power windows have an automatic driver side window button. Unfortunately, it is not plug and play on a 99-2000 even though the switch is nearly identical and the harness plugs right in. As soon as I plug the 2001-2005 switch into mine and turn the key on, it automatically and continuously rolled the passenger side window down. Perhaps it will work if you modify your harness. (six wires I believe)

Ahh, okay... this sounds more like what I was expecting to hear. Granted it would have been nicer if you told me it worked perfectly and even made huge HP gains. :) lol

Thanks for the reply. I will have to look into the mod one day over the winter when there is some down-time. Who knows, it could just need a relay change.

Cheers,
Prospero
