Baffled isc oil pan Bp
3 Attachment(s)
This was a random miataturbo.net impulse buy for me one night. It didn't dawn on me that the design of pans would be different from front wheel to rear wheel drive. my car is front wheel drive and I just said "oh i don't have that, must buy!" well i got the pan and realized i should have done my homework!
The pan is stamped "Bpe8". I did notice on the side it looks like there is threaded holes? or maybe somepne was trying to tap it for a turbo drain? the holes do not go all the way threw. The pans got for $150 + shipping. I will sell for $125 shipped con us. https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1424500696 https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1424500696 https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1424500696 |
If the top picture shows the "threaded holes" you're talking about, then those are just the holes where the VIN tag used to be riveted on to the pan.

Thanks you! That makes sense.

I have a protege bp oil pan. Would you be willing to trade? With cash on top?

Bobby I got a stock pan for my bpt. I just thought I was buying an upgrade. Impulse on my end. I'm open to trades for aftermarket parts if you got anything else.

someone asked about a scratch in the gasket surface. I did take a closer look and there appears to be 2 scratch's. However i'm pretty confident this will not affect the sealing of the pan due to RTV silicone is used to seal the pan. Here is a closer picture.
