That is a bargain on that turbo, especially with the line thrown in. I'd buy it but my almost five year old T3/T4 churbo is still doing fine!

If someone can definitively state that this churbo won't be a total dog on a stock motor-no forged anything- 220-ish WHP application I may be interested in it for the SAABata. Track car with limited street driving.

I planned on doing another SR20T25 which I feel would do a better job for me on my application, but I could be wrong. Someone speak up on this. Which would be the better choice? I haven't built the mani yet so T25 or T3 is irrelevant to me right now.

I honestly think you'd be fighting the surge limit while building boost, might see some boost shortly after 3K rpms, max boost maybe a little before 4K, and be shifting at the point you're finally getting into the meat of the "efficiency island" (~70%).

I can only say how it works on my car that sports a stock '96 motor with 220k miles on it. I enjoy daily driving it, towing things and such. I suggest running a 3" exhaust turbo to tip. The vids (link in my sig) are mostly at 12-13psi.

I know I'm the odd minority but I couldn't think of going any smaller. I hated the powerband on the last four tiny turbo cars I've owned.

I agree. IMO the "daily driving it" and autoX videos are strong testimony. Stein's biggest obstacle is the fact he drives a v8 Miata.

Umm, I've never driven it. Well, it's gone 4 miles at 1/4 throttle total. I phale.:facepalm: So, that really isn't a factor.

I did have a SR20T25 on my 99 and have two little turbos on my BMW 335i so I'm used to spool "right now". I'm probably going to stick with my T25 plan.

Those auto-x videos suck, but it appears that car moves like a stabbed rat anyway...
