Price update
$2200 including the bipes or 2100 without. |
is the MP62 CARB approved?..thanks
|
Not sure, it uses a power card for fuel management, the same as the carb approved kit that moss sells, but I am not sure
|
You might want to add a location before people here give you shit about it.
|
Are you sure you meant hotside? Why would the abs get in the way of a supercharger that is mounted over the headers?
Just wondering... GLWS |
I am located about 40 miles west of Chicago.
|
It is called a hotside kit because the supercharger is mounted on the header side of the engine(versus the intake manifold side)

A lot of questions I am getting off-line are revolving around the differences between my kit and the kit that Moss sells.
I think the main mechanical difference is that the BRP kit uses a crank overlay/6 rib belt. This allows the supercharger to run off its own belt....it is not shared with the power steering and AC like the Moss kit. Belt wrap on my kit is very favorable and the fact that it uses a 6 rib belt eliminates belt slip that 4 rib designs are prone to at higher boost levels. I think the biggest difference between the two kits is the quality of the parts other than the supercharger itself. The BRP kit uses CNC bits and brackets and they are beautiful and strong. I have BMW people looking under the hood and come away impressed with the quality/looks/fit and finish of the kit. |
Bill, you should get a picture up if it's still possible. For the folks who are curious, the supercharger itself is similar to the one below (except for the NA 1.8L and minus the intercooler). The package he's selling is very nice (too bad you didn't think of selling it LAST YEAR before I bought my 4 rib! ;) ). I've admired it in person and driven against it. My Moss 4 rib clouds up the hood with belt dust in due time, whereas the kit he is 'strong like bull' and is pretty much not prone to slippage.

Any clue if this will work with a RB header?
|
Not sure, but I don't think so. I have a JR header and it works. I would be willing to swap if you bought the kit.
|
Legitimate seller folks.
Up for you. |
Thanks Dave, I am as legitimate as a seller can be trying to sell a SC on Miataturbo.net:)

1800 shipped? Willing to go less without the power card/bipes mess? I'm installing a ms3 and wideband no matter what.
|
Hi,
Would you consider selling bipes, give it a new home in Western Australia. Cost plus postage + US$?? |
Ok guys, I have the entire kit including the power card and bipes deinstalled. I have located the original instructions for the bipes and the kit itself.
I will do $2000 shipped for the kit + $100 for the bipes |
