How much for this pretty piece of work?

zoomin 03-31-2009 05:36 PM

PM me with a price on the STB, assuming it works with turbo setups.

minime 03-31-2009 05:38 PM

DOH, forgot to put a price for it - sorry fellas. I bought it for $375, but prices have gone up the last couple years - check REV9 Autosport
The only difference between that bar and mine is the integrated Brake MC stopper - oh wait, that was the RSA unit - this is the same one that is currently sold under Carbing/Okuyama.

I would sell it for $350 shipped anywhere in the continental US.

minime 03-31-2009 06:00 PM

With regard to turbo clearance - it cleared my FM turbo system no problem(new style system with compressor outlet clocked DOWN. I don't remember how much room was above the turbo to allow for a compressor pipe/tube.

paul 03-31-2009 06:32 PM

No PMs? I know you are asking $350 for the Okuyama brace. If you let it go for $250 shipped I'm interested.

LOL, imitation is the best form of flattery. Seriously though, this brace is the friggin sheit. It is SUPER light, VERY strong and it is a work of art with beautiful welds. The only reason I am selling it is because I have too much crap and not enough $ :), plus I am putting MiniMe completely back to stock because I need a car to leave @ the airport and I don't want it stolen so most of the goodies are coming off the car. I actually have two more of these braces(did I mention I am a packrat/parts-whore?). One of them is the RSA version in anodized orange/gold and the other is the same as this one, but I may end up putting it on the BRG and sell the DIY 3-pt CF brace that Moti created a few years ago.

I posted this several times on m.net over the years - it is the BEST STB on the market, no question:
initial impressions: MX-5 Miata Forum - View Single Post - Inexpensive shock tower brace
"This brace looks great, is super light, and it WORKS. After installing it, I found that MOST of the squeaks, rattles, and groans on my '93 were eliminated and a almost ALL of them were gone after driving around for a couple days and then re-torquing the connector bolts. Also, this brace took care of the 65mph shimmy, something the FM brace could not."

How much for the CF headlight lid shipped to the UK

paul 04-01-2009 09:28 AM

I agree it's the best brace on the market. I have the 2nd best, the SC version. It's not completely triangulated.

minime 04-01-2009 11:03 AM

Oh wow, I have three bites on the CF lids - one guy is local and the other two are in Europe. Punch, you are #2 in line behind the local guy - if he does not buy them by tonight I will find out how much it will cost to ship to UK. Shoot me an email(it is listed @ the top of the picture pages).

disturbedfan121 04-01-2009 11:10 AM

i'm interested in the CF headlight lids (both) and the ARP head studs. maybe we can work a deal or something. get some more posts so you can PM lol

Yes, they are for sale. I was going to use them on my track car and Shaikh revalved them for me when I bought his BRG, but I decided to use my JIC FLTA2's that I pulled off my other(previous track) car. These have ZERO use and were only on the car when it was transported via trailer. They were valved for a track driven car so they may not be super comfy for street driving, just FYI.

This setup would cost $1128 + sourcing some Bilsteins. I would sell for $850 shipped in the US.

What spring rate are they revalved for and the rates that are included? Also, they will be used exclusively for the track. Thanks!

minime 04-07-2009 12:27 PM

I put it in the subject, but you probably overlooked it - 550/350 springs, wihch is exactly what he valved them for and he knew the car was only going to be used on the track since it is too damn ugly and raced out to even be considered road worthy :)

thagr81 us 04-07-2009 02:10 PM

That is 'close' to what I was planning to run. However, I would probably have to get them revalved again to run my rates as I saw he says the revalving are good for +/-100 from the revalve point. I will let you know what I decide on these. Thanks for the information.
