Complete 94 1.8 motor

Due to >3K in emergency house repairs this month, my dreams of a turbo'd 1.8 swap have died. I have a 94 1.8 with 64K on it, which I bought several months ago. It is a complete motor with, alt, ac, starter, flywheel, clutch, exhaust mani & DP, Intake plenum, T-body. You get the idea, it's complete.
I would prefer to trade for a low mileage 1.6 longnose with >175 compression. I just want to get my car back on the road, quick. Turbo will come at tax time I guess.
I can deliver and help pull, anywhere in SoCal if the deal is right. This is a great opportunity for anyone who has a strong 1.6, looking to do a 1.8 swap.

94 1.8 with less than 64K? good motor.
i have a 1.6 that i would be looking to possible trade.
not sure the exact miles on it, but it was put it in around 90k. greeeat shape.
also live in so cal, so this could be looking good.
but i was sure if you were asking for >3k or not.

damn you for being in Cal. Just picked up a 93 with only 80k and would have loved to trade.

Sorry Paul, Wish you where close too. Sounds perfect.

Harmsway, No Idea on mileage? How about compression? Leaks? Year? And no, I'm not asking $3k for the motor, thats how much I had to spend repairing my home this month.

No one interested in a low mileage, fully dressed 1.8?

Damn you Californians...lol

Why don't you try posting a PRICE??

zoom2zoom 11-07-2008 01:58 AM

How far is Big Bear from Salt Lake City?

dstn2bdoa 11-07-2008 02:14 AM

No price...yet. I'd like to get $800. Was hoping for a trade though, as stated above.
SLC is probably 10-12 hrs?? I'm about 4 hrs to Vegas, then another couple to St George I guess. You'll know the times from there better than me. I'd be driving my old beater Toyota 4x4, SLOW going.

Yeah, about 10 hours. I have a good 1.6 engine but it might be a short nose, no problems though.

danm wish this happened a few months back. i sold a long nose 1.6 for 100 and then speant more on getting my 1.8
