I'm not sure what kind of stock you bought, Round, Tubular, or flat stock. If flat stock, and you plan to mill the shape out, consider incorporating the bung into the basic shape, rather than welding on separately. I saw a build where someone did that, and it made lots of sense.
I looked at my expedition O-Ring T'Stat seal (in lieu of gasket), and it takes a neck with a protrusion to work. So, that would not work. Still a possibility to us o-ring between spacer and head, though.

When I originally planned this, I chose the circular spacer due to ease of machining in quantity. Ordered 3-1/4" roundbar. 12" of it, which should make 10 spacers. After this first batch, I'll decide if I want to make more.
School is crazy, trying to make time for this. So here's the plan. I'm going to make one. Maybe two. I'll post pictures up, details, etc, and we'll do this group buy style, in order of people who posted in this thread or contacted me chronologically. Details may change between now and then, and as this is a feeler thread, you've just secured a spot in line. Certainly no obligations to buy something you haven't seen.
As for why it costs $60 (which may vary slightly by the end product): tooling aint cheap. Round bar aint cheap.
FOR NOW, I do not plan on making block off plates or including any other hardware. Like I've said, my free time is very tight with school, and that is just getting in to a little more time investment than I'm looking to devote. Decision will be made before the sale post is made. I'm working on getting access to a water jet.
