Differential Assembly, 1.8 Torsen w/4.10 gears with housing
I have a Torsen 1.8 differential assembly with one axle from a '95 for sale. It has a 4.10 gear ratio. I took the assembly apart to verify the gear ratio and that it was indeed a Torsen, so I can ship just the components if someone doesn't want it all. The diff lube that came out seemed clean and there were no signs of trouble inside or out. The inner CV joints were both slinging a little grease from the metal dust caps (not the boots, the boots are good) on the inside. Probably needs a little fresh grease there and some sealer to seal the caps upon reassembly to give many more years of continued service. I am only listing one axle because the other was fubared when removing it from the wheel hub. I'll send the fubared axle too if you want to try to do something with it.
I already had a 4.10 Torsen in my primary Miata and I don't need two of them. Now only $600 shipped for everything because it is all heavy and bulky. Now only $550 shipped for just the assembled chunk with no aluminum housing or axles. Thanks. |
The price, she is drooping, yes, sagging even.
For your enjoyment: |
^^ HaHa
Free bump. |
Nobody is attracted to my rear end? So depressing.
Less depressing: |
I liked the firefly one better.

How much would you want for just the torsen (no housing or gears)?
How many miles on it? Was the donor car tracked? |

How many miles on it? Was the donor car tracked? I don't want to disassemble a perfectly good chunk. It is worth more to most people as a bolt-in assembly that they don't have to shim, use a crush sleeve, or set up, I would think. I'm sure someone with a weak 1.6 or an open 1.8 rear would want to upgrade to something better. |
I have an open 1.8 but don't want another diff carrier :( Thanks for the reply!

This is a sign that the economy sucks when you cant even sell a torsen on MT.net
|
I would buy but I am being a jew about my build :D

What about just the diff and housing as an assembly?

I'm just bumping to remind myself of this depending on what miata I buy, and whether I decide I need a torsen for it :)
